Absolutely — we encourage guests to treat our spa amenities as a restorative ritual, not just a feature.
Sauna: Limit sessions to 15–20 minutes, and always hydrate before and after. Use the provided towels to sit on the benches, and please avoid bringing any oils, lotions, or glass inside.
Hot tub: Rinse before entering, and please don’t add any products to the water. Quiet hours begin at 10 p.m., so we invite you to enjoy the soak in peace and stillness beneath the stars.
Stargazing dome: This is a dry space — feel free to bring a blanket or glass of wine, but we ask that you leave spa waterwear and wet towels outside.
Zen Den: We’ve provided a portable air conditioner to maintain a comfortable temperature when utilizing the Zen Den during warmer months, and encourage guests to take advantage of the 16 x 12' deck — perfect for open-air yoga or morning meditation.
These amenities are cleaned and maintained between each stay so every guest begins with a fresh start.

We recommend a vehicle with all-wheel or four-wheel drive, especially in winter months or after heavy rain. Emberwood is on a well-maintained gravel mountain road with steep elevation changes. While most guests arrive without issue, a capable vehicle ensures a smoother arrival.
-
Emberwood is nestled in a forested mountainside rich with wildlife, including deer, foxes, and hawks, to name a few.
While we routinely use professional pest control services to keep tiny critters out, occasional sightings of insects are possible. The chalet is sealed and well-maintained, but we always recommend keeping doors closed and food stored properly. If you're comfortable being surrounded by nature, you're in the right place.
-
While we love our furry friends, we have a no-pets policy for the convenience of other guests and to help us provide the most sanitary accommodations possible. In the event that guests bring a pet, the credit card on file will be charged a non-refundable fee of USD$450.00 per pet.
-
Yes, we can accommodate mid-term stays at Emberwood.

We require a rental agreement for all of our stays–just like a hotel (though you probably don’t realize it during check-in at a hotel). It simply outlines the house rules, check-in/out details, and helps ensure everything goes smoothly for both of us. It’s a quick read and nothing out of the ordinary, just part of keeping your experience clear and seamless.
